Memorial Gardens

St Hilary’s Memorial Gardens, located along Hurontario St and North Service Road, have received awards from Canada Blooms and recognition from the Cloverleaf Garden Club and the Mississauga Garden Council. The gardens are maintained and managed largely by volunteers. If you are interested in helping in any way, we are always needing assistance to cultivate and care for these gardens. Please indicate your interest through the contact page.

KITCHEN GARDEN

St. Hilary’s Food Cupboard “Kitchen Garden” was created to specifically support our Food Cupboard. The food grown will be healthy, organically grown and help respond to the food security needs of our clients.

The garden is a zero waste garden, with composting of produce scraps and recycled paper. It also gives an opportunity to regrow sprouted produce. (potatoes, lettuce, onions, etc.).

Gardening, being outside, working together with neighbours all contribute to a greater sense of belonging and friendships. This kitchen garden is designed to provide volunteers and clients with an opportunity to work together and build relationships.

Anyone who wishes to participate can email us : sthfoodcupboard@gmail.com

COMMUNITY VEGETABLE GARDEN

This is a space for people who don’t have access to land. There are plots available to rent which you must maintain and harvest throughout the season. You can plant whatever you like! It’s a sunny spot that may produce an abundant crop with the right care. For more information on plot availability, please call 905 279 2304 or email sthilarycooksville@toronto.anglican.com
